of Mountain Harmony Wellness
Lauren and Dale’s philosophy
...
has always been to keep their fees low
so everyone who wants to can afford
the classes they teach. They also offer scholarships and will barter. Especially in these times, they understand that a “small” amount of money may be a budget item, not just pocket change and they don’t want anyone not to be able to attend a class. Dale and Lauren will teach classes wherever the students are if they can gather
at least 4 participants.

LOUISVILLE - Sai Shakti Satsangs and Group Meditation

Thursday, March 11, 2010
7:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Cost: $5
Location: 2486 Topside Road, Louisville, TN 37777

Join us for an on-going spiritual discussion on the ancient teachings being revealed and taught by Sri Kaleshwar. We open the satsang with an uplifting group meditation and by singing bhajans, before going deeper into an aspect of the ancient teachings. The topics of discussion change each week. The satsangs are also a time to ask questions and go deeper in one’s spiritual practice. Coming together regularly for spiritual discussions and to be in community with other seekers helps strengthen our personal process and protection circles through “groupism” as we go deeper in our understanding of God’s nature and the miracle energy channels.

To James Brown (Buddhist name Jinpa TerDzo, which means "generosity treasure") the title of this presentation describes his spiritual journey, and perhaps everyone's in some way. He is presently a member of the Shambhala Lineage of Buddhism as well as the Kagyu (pronounced Kah ju) and Nyingma Lineage. He is studying with the Shambhala School of Buddhist Studies and going through Shambhala Training, a secular program created by Chogyam Trungpa, the Founder of Shambhala. As a result of the Study and the training he hopes to learn to assist in creating an enlightened world in the workplace.

Louisville
- New Moon Fire Puja:
Sunday, March 14th, 2010, 7:00-9:00 PM

Location: 2486 Topside Road, Louisville, TN 37777

Cost: $10 plus

Please RSVP to Chris at hargrovefire368@charter.net so we can clarify whether the puja will be indoors or outdoors and be sure to have enough supplies for everyone. We’ll email driving directions if you need them.

A fire puja is a sacred Vedic fire ceremony (homa) for bringing healing and Divine blessings to all who attend, and decharging stress and negativity, powerfully charging the soul. Homas operate by calling upon and working with specific aspects of the Divine invoked in a sacred fire kindled according to Vedic scriptures.

During a homa, participants chant certain sacred Sanskrit mantras and make specific offerings to the fire. The combination of the transformative power of the fire element with the sacred mantras creates powerful vibrations that bring benefits to all who attend as well as the purifying the subtle and physical layers of the environment. To receive the maximum benefit and healing from the homa fires, and because of the super-intense energies involved, it's highly advisable on the actual day of the homa to only eat vegetarian food and avoid alcohol.

    Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church:
2931 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee 37919

I'm very excited to share my practice with you and provide instruction and guidance as necessary.  I am a long time meditator, having received teachings and practiced with several great Tibetan masters and yogis.  I have also practiced in the Hindu yogic tradition and have spent some time with Ram Dass in workshops and on retreats  I have completed the traditional 100 day Vajrayana Buddhist Silent retreat as well as over 50 shorter retreats of a week or more.

The first half of our time will be mostly devoted to meditation.... The second half to answering questions about meditation, as well giving folks the opportunity to share their experience that evening.  It is my understanding that Child care is available.
