Thermography screening - A complement
to your mammogram
June Carver Drennon discusses results with patient Mary Ann
Collins. June is co-founder of Thermography Limited, which is
part of her company, Stillpoint Health Associates in
Chattanooga.
By Susan Watson
Migun
TN, located at 11533 Kingston Pike, is all about health and
wellness. It’s a place to shop for all things rejuvenating from
skin care products, teas and juices to healing mats for your
office chair and relaxation sound CDs. They’re also a free
demonstration center for Migun far infrared thermal acupressure
massage beds. Teresa Lamb owns and operates Migun TN and,
through its sister company, In Synergy Events, Teresa is able to
offer a variety of community outreach events, classes and
educational programs that promote and coordinate health and
wellness within our community.
One service that Teresa is particularly proud to offer is
thermography screenings which promote breast health and breast
cancer awareness. Thermography is a noninvasive screening for
cancer that does not involve radiation or compression of the
breast. It’s a photograph of the heat activity that is going on
in your body. The principle is that, if a cancer is going to be
supported, it will require blood vessels going to that spot in
order for the cancer to grow. The “vascular activity” of these
vessels creates heat which can be seen via thermography.
Thermography can generally detect warning signs much earlier
than even a small tumor can be picked up by mammography.
Thermography shows physiological change going on, often
preparing a site for the cancer. The key is locating thermal
change, while mammograms measure changes in the structures of
the body. Thermography is especially well suited for younger
women, beginning with a baseline screening at age 20.
Thermography is not a replacement for mammograms or any
other form of breast imaging. The earliest detection of cancer
is realized when a multiple testing approach to screening is
taken.
Screenings at Migun are in collaboration with June Carver
Drennon, the founder of Stillpoint Health Associates in
Chattanooga. She is here in Knoxville providing thermography
about once a month, usually on the third Thursday. While she
specializes in breast cancer detection, she reports that the
procedure can also pinpoint other physical complications such as
dental, cardiovascular and thyroid issues. Thermograms can be
taken of the whole body or just the area being investigated.
Once thermograms are completed, the films are always sent to a
physician to be interpreted.
On my recent visit to Migun TN, I was pleased to meet with
Drennon and two of her patients. Mary Ann and Douglas Collins
were both there for cancer screenings. They learned about
thermography screenings through their involvement with the
Complementary Health Education Organization (CHEO) of Knoxville,
a nonprofit that supports complementary and natural health care
practices. Douglas is retired from the Ford Motor Company and
Mary Ann, who is the new president of CHEO, is the author of a
health-oriented cookbook, “Deliciously Wicked Yet Guilt-Free.”
The Collinses are glad to have Migun TN as a “headquarters” for
so many of the local activities of CHEO.
For detailed information about thermography screenings or to
schedule an appointment at Migun, call Teresa Lamb at 755-0778.

ONIONS
FOR COLLECTING THE FLU VIRUS?
In 1919
when the flu killed 40 million people there was this Doctor that
visited the many farmers to see if he could help them combat the
flu. Many of the farmers and their family had contracted it and
many died..
The doctor came upon this one farmer and to his surprise, everyone
was very healthy. When the doctor asked what the farmer was doing
that was different the wife replied that she had placed an unpeeled
onion in a dish in the rooms of the home, (probably only two rooms
back then). The doctor couldn't believe it and asked if he could
have one of the onions and placed it under the microscope. She gave
him one and when he did this, he did find the flu virus in the
onion. It obviously absorbed the virus, therefore, keeping the
family healthy.
Now, I heard this story from my hairdresser in AZ. She said that
several years ago many of her employees were coming down with the
flu and so were many of her customers. The next year she placed
several bowls with onions around in her shop. To her surprise, none
of her staff got sick. It must work.. (And no, she is not in the
onion business.)
The moral of the story is, buy some onions and place them in bowls
around your home. If you work at a desk, place one or two in your
office or under your desk or even on top somewhere. Try it and see
what happens. We did it last year and we never got the flu.
If this helps you and your loved ones from getting sick, all the
better. If you do get the flu, it just might be a mild case..
Whatever, what have you to lose? Just a few bucks on onions!

AWAKENED REIKI YOGA
BY PHONE!
In an idealistic world, we would be able to go
anywhere, do anything and be on time for it all..however, this is not
always achievable (although anything is possible). For your
convenience and time, Awakened Reiki Yoga is now introducing
teleconference times to clients that have time constraints, that are
traveling, that are shut in, or feel more comfortable opening up on
the telephone.
Here is how it works: To schedule a phone session, register online
with Awakened Connections on our website. In the comment field, you
will place whether you would like a counseling session or a reading
via phone including the date and time. You will then go to awakened
Market place and pay for your session via pay pal. You will receive
a confirmation of your appointment time, via phone or email your time
and we will be set! A good rule of thumb would be to put more than one
choice for an appointment time, in the event your ideal slot is
filled.
Sessions are one hour only. For 90 minute sessions, please come in to
the office for an appointment. Our cancellation policy is still the
same, and we hope to accommodate you in any way that we can. The
schedule is below. Appointments may be scheduled until the final time
listed (e.g. Tuesday 10:30PM would be the final appointment
scheduled).
Schedule:
Tuesdays: 5:30PM-7:30PM, 8:30PM-10:30PM
Wednesdays - 6:00PM-8:00PM, 9:00PM -11:00PM
Fridays - 6:00PM-9:00PM
Sundays - 12:30PM -6:00PM

Dr. Charles Adams, MD:
MEDICARE PAYS FOR CHELATION IN-OFFICE IV'S
at
FULL CIRCLE MEDICAL CENTER off Cloud Springs Rd. exit, in N. Georgia
We
have recently become aware of, and accordingly engaged, a billing
service that has been working very closely with Medicare, and, has
figured out how to legally, ethically, and non-fraudulently bill and
be reimbursed for in-office IV therapies. {Chelation, Vitamin C,
Hydrogen Peroxide, and others...} As Medicare goes, so do the other
little duckies in the pond: BC/BS, Cigna, United, etc.... This
change has worked for the past 4-5 years.
Of
interest:
Medicare has compared the group of folks doing in-office IV
therapies with those who do not do the same therapies and they have
noted that if they are spending "X" for the patients doing in-office
IV's, they are spending "10X" for those who DON’T do the in office
IV therapies. {They are beginning to like this.}
All of our modern day bones have 10 to 100 times the levels of Lead
that our pre-industrial revolution ancestors' bones had. There is
no such thing as: "A safe level of Lead."
Any amount of Lead
in the body has toxic effects. [ Cardiovascular, nervous system /
mental / emotional, cancer risks ]
Mercury toxicity is as common and is a serious threat to health.
The US coal fired plants put a ton of Mercury in the air each year.
The SEC states get an extra ton of Mercury each year from southerly
winds originating over, and carrying Mercury emissions from, the
agricultural and industrial businesses in Africa and South America.

New
Research Offers Hope for
FIBROMYALGIA
New research may represent a breakthrough for fibromyalgia
patients," says Dr. Thomas Cable, CHEO member and director of the
Optimal Health Institute. "This research suggests that many
patients with fibromyalgia may actually have a treatable form of a
neuroendocrine disorder involving the hypothalamus and pituitary
gland," Cable says. "These brain changes may cause the typical
symptoms of chronic fatigue, poor quality sleep, painful muscles and
depressed mood. For many, there is now some hope of actually getting
better."
For more information call Optimal Health Institute at 423-778-9470.
The Institute is located in downtown Chattanooga at the Lifestyle
Center, 325 Market Street, Suite 202.

From Tami Freedman
Knoxville Healer Healed Tami's Mom's Broken Bone
I wanted to share this incredible story of a wonderful lady I met
while working on CHEO Knoxville Print Directory making phone calls.
Rev. Lois Slater in Knoxville is a healer. She's 82, has been
healing since she was 3 years old (natural healer). She tells
everyone to buy the Therapuetic Touch books - that they can heal
also!
When I called Lois to share CHEO information, she shared that she
thinks healing should not be about money, and she heals broken bones
in 5 minutes. When we finished talking the directory, Lois asked me
if I she could heal something on me? I thought about my knees
(slightly sore), then thought of my mom (osteoporosis and painfully
broken bone in pelvis, hadn't left the house for two weeks, on huge
pain meds). I was at mom's house on her cell, so handed the phone to
my mom.
Mom talked to Lois for about 5
minutes, then was interrupted. This was at 6 pm. After the phone
call, Mom couldn't tell anything. Several hours later, she went to
bed. The next afternoon mom called me. She sounded great. She'd been
out shopping for two hours. Woke up with NO PAIN. Hadn't taken pain
meds. Felt great. And she's been great ever since. She says, if this
had happened to someone else, she probably wouldn't believe it.
Since then she's helped my friend's Jay's cholesterol /
triglycerides; his friend's acid reflux, and more! Lois loves
to heal people.
She says it's fun! Just thought you might like to call her :-)

Suave shampoos are awful. Tom's is awesome.
